Grand Opening of Almost Home Announcement
Howie needs your help and a new home
Is that the sweetest little face you've ever seen?
His
name is Howie, he's a three-year old Rat Terrier mix, and he came to us
as a stray from the Webster City area. As we always do with new
animals, we vaccinated Howie and treated him for fleas. Soon, he was a
very sick little boy, and had to be rushed to the vet.
He was in the hospital for over a week, and required blood
transfusions, IV fluids and lots of special care. The veterinarian
thinks he is one of those rare dogs who reacts to vaccines or the
chemicals in flea treatments. What happened to Howie is a good reminder
to all of us to watch our pets very closely whenever they recieve
vaccinations or other medications.
Anyway, Howie is fine now, and ready for a new home, but we have
nearly $1,000 in vet bills! If you would like to help us with these
bills, please send a check or follow the link at the end of this e-mail
to give securely on-line. We never want to restrict veterinary care our
abandoned pets need, but, boy, this sort of thing breaks a budget!
By the way, I took Howie to the radio station one Wednesday for the
weekly show I do with Jane Morgan and Kayla Jo, and he sat sweetly in my
lap all the way. One of the songs on the radio prompted me to sing
along, and Howie almost immediately turned and licked me square in the
mouth. Do you think he was telling me he liked my singing or to shut up?
By the way, in case Howie's not the one for you, we have plenty of
other wonderful dogs patiently waiting for someone like you.
We just got two adorable black Lab puppies, 11 weeks old and ready
for homes of their own; we have 14 Poodle or Poodle mixes, and six of
the cutest Rat Terrier/Jack Russell Terrier puppies you've ever seen.
They're six weeks old now, and will be ready to go home with you in
about two weeks. Get your application in now and get ready for lots of
puppy kisses and years of love and devotion. We also have a beautiful
male Boxer, about two years old. Bubba is a striking deep brindle color,
and is recovering nicely from being neutered. He's a real lover and
wants to go home with you!
